Description

Prerequisite: CBT1105 with a minimum grade of C.
Structured as a hands-on, shop class. Students will also participate in classroom learning as new topics are introduced. Basic wood-framing principles will be the main emphasis of this course. Students will learn how to identify and calculate cut lengths for all framing members of a floor system. The hands-on section of this course will involve students working as a group to build both nominal lumber floor systems as well as an engineered I-joist system.
