Welcome to the Trade Skills Assessment Test. This is a requirement of graduation for students graduating from Mineral Area College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree. This test is intended to determine if the common learning objectives for Criminal Justice majors at the Associate of Applied Science Degree level are being achieved by students who are about to graduate with an Associate's of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice.  
 
This assessment is focused on Criminal Justice learning, and consists of 108 questions covering the 5 topics common to Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Criminal Justice at Missouri public higher learning institutions.  The topic categories consist of:  introductory concepts of criminal justice, concepts of criminal investigation, concepts of criminal law, juvenile justice concepts, and concepts of police administration.
 
Although this test currently has no academic bearing on your degree or a specific course grade, it is essential that you do your very best to correctly answer the questions.  The assessment consists of multiple choice questions in which you are asked to select the response you believe is correct from the available answers.  Since this assessment measures general aspects of the major courses in Criminal Justice at the Associate of Applied Science Degree level, no one particular textbook has been used as a sole source of reference for this exam.
