Description

Prerequisite: MSC2843
This course is intended to instruct the student in music theory as it applies specifically to composition and performance of the guitar and various supporting instruments. Students will learn several composition concepts and playing technique interpretations and their application in different musical genres. Students will be expected to take several "checkpoint" quizzes as well as submitting short compositions for each unit representative of various styles and genres. Students will be expected to submit a portfolio of all compositions pertaining to this course including audio files as well as written scores.
