Medical Surgical Nursing I (ADN 1495)

Description

Prerequisite: Sequential nursing and science classes with a minimum grade of C.
Focuses on concepts relating to the assessment and care of the adult in the acute care setting with commonly occurring medical-surgical diagnoses and disorders, including peripheral intravenous access and intravenous infusion of fluids and medications. Emphasis is on the implementation of the nursing process and the development of competent assessment skills by applying principles from the biological, physical, social, behavioral, medical, and nursing sciences.
