Elementary Algebra (MAT 0950)
Term: 2018 Summer Semester
Prerequisites: Must have met the college reading requirement: a minimum score of 18 on the ACT reading, or 81 on the Compass reading, or 85 on the Accuplacer reading, or a minimum grade of C in RDG0900, ENG0990, or ENG0090, or concurrent enrollment in RDG0750 or RDG0900, or have earned 24 college-level semester credit hours AND one of the following math requirements: (1) ACT math score of 15-18, or Compass Algebra score of 23-37, or Compass College Algebra score of 23-30, or Accuplacer Elementary Algebra score of 37-96 or (2) a minimum high school grade point average of 3.5 and an ACT math score of 13-14, or Compass Algebra score of 16-22, or Compass College Algebra score of 15-22, or Accuplacer Elementary Algebra score of 28-36 or (3) a minimum grade of C in MAT0900 or MAT0920 or Learning Center Modules MAT0020, MAT0030 and MAT0040.Introduces students to the concepts of algebra. Includes the concepts of integers, linear equations, inequalities, exponents, polynomials, and factoring.
