Description

Introduction to Medical Coding: a basic introduction to coding format and conventions. Students will become familiar with the Evaluation and Management Documentation Guidelines. Students become proficient in the basics of medical coding using the ICD-9, CPT, and HCPC codes. Case studies illustrate how to apply coding guidelines and identify the documentation necessary for code assignment.
